Our Commitment to Patient Care
Commitments we have put in writing, so that patients can hold us to them.
- 1
You will be told what is happening
Your diagnosis, the options, what each involves and what it is likely to cost — in language you can follow, with time to ask questions.
- 2
Nothing without your consent
No procedure goes ahead until it has been explained and you or your family have agreed to it, except where an emergency makes waiting unsafe.
- 3
Clinical need decides priority
In emergency and inpatient care, the order in which patients are seen is set by how unwell they are.
- 4
Your privacy is protected
Medical information is confidential. Examinations and discussions happen privately, and records are shared only with those involved in your care or where the law requires it.
- 5
Cost will be discussed before, not after
Where a cost is known in advance, you will be told before treatment. Where it depends on how things go, we will say that instead of quoting a figure that later changes.
- 6
You can ask for a second opinion
Asking for another view, inside or outside this hospital, is a normal part of medical care. It will not affect how you are treated here.
- 7
Complaints will be taken seriously
If something goes wrong or falls short, we want to hear about it. Raise it with the department, or ask at the reception to escalate it.
Patient rights and responsibilities
These commitments sit alongside a fuller statement of what every patient at Goga Ji Hospital is entitled to.
